Add/Drop a Class

Please use the online registration system to register for or withdraw/drop from classes

 

Add a class

  • Go to North Central’s homepage: www.ncmich.edu
  • Click “NC Portal” on upper right-hand corner of page
  • Login to the Portal using your User Name and Password
  • Click on ‘My North Central
  • Enter your User Name and Password again at the top right of the screen and click Login
  • Click on Add/Drop Courses
  • Click on the Course Search Tab

At the Course Search screen:

Choose the proper Semester (i.e. 2015-2016 Winter). Search by Department and Division or, if you’d like more detail, click on More Search Options

  • Courses are arranged in alphanumeric order according to Department. To add a course, click on the box to the left of the course, then scroll to bottom of page and click Add Courses
  • After you have chosen all of your courses, click on My Schedule from the navigation list on the left side of the screen. Your class schedule is printable

 

Other Help

To see your accrued tuition and fees, see the navigation list on the left and click on My Student Account, then on My Account Balances in the center of the screen.

To explore a payment plan, click on My Student Account in the left hand column, then on Nelnet Information or Nelnet Payment Plan.

To check your Financial Aid statusclick on My Financial Aid, located in the left-hand column.

Remember to click “Log Out” at the end of your registration session.

Drop/Withdraw

  • Go to North Central’s homepage: www.ncmich.edu
  • Click “NC Portal” on upper right-hand corner of page
  • Login to the Portal using your User Name and Password
  • Click on ‘My North Central
  • Enter your User Name and Password again at the top right of the screen and click Login
  • Click on Add/Drop Courses
  • Click on the Course Search Tab
  • At the Course Search screen:

Choose the proper Semester (i.e. 2015-2016 Winter). Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the box to the left of the course you would like to drop/withdraw.  Then click Drop Selected Courses

  • If successfully submitted, a message will appear in the Message Area stating course(s) have been successfully dropped. Print the screen verifying your drop/withdrawal for your record
  • After you have made the changes to your schedule, click on My Schedule from the navigation list on the left side of the screen to verify that the changes are reflected there.  Your class schedule is printable.

 

Other Help

If you want to withdraw from a course after the semester has begun and you are receiving Financial Aid, please call (231) 348-6605 prior to withdrawing and ask for a Financial Aid advisor to learn if withdrawing will affect your financial aid.

Remember to click “Log Out” at the end of your registration session.
