Classes are hands-on and customized to individual and industry needs. Look for classes in Heartsaver CPR/AED, First Aid, Basic Life Support for Providers and other health and safety programs offered on campus and at area companies.

Learn the newest standards from the American Heart Association for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency cardiovascular care in responding to sudden cardiac arrest. Observe and practice adult CPR and AED use. Following a skills test, students receive a Heartsaver CPR AED course completion card, valid for two years, and used to meet many job and regulatory requirements. Designed for individuals with limited or no medical training.
Heartsaver FIRST AID

First aid training is a key component of an effective safety program. In this program, you’ll understand how to recognize and manage an emergency in the first few minutes before emergency medical staff arrive. Learn to treat bleeding, sprains, broken bones, shock, and other injuries; and respond to medical or environmental emergencies, using the AHA guidelines. Following a short skills test, students will receive a course completion card in first aid to meet job or regulatory requirements. Designed for individuals with limited or no medical training.
Note: If a student completes both Heartsaver CPR/AED and First Aid courses they will receive a Heartsaver First Aid CPR/AED Completion Card.

Learn to promptly recognize life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations, and provide early use of AED. Observe and practice critical components of high-quality CPR, AHA chain of survival, CPR and AED for adults, children and infants; bag-mask techniques, rescue breathing, relief of choking and CPR with an advanced airway. Designed for healthcare professionals who need to learn to perform CPR and other life-saving techniques in the hospital, clinical and pre-hospital setting.

Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED

This course is appropriate for anyone that interacts with children – parents, teachers, grandparents, child care providers, babysitters, nannies. The course meets regulatory requirements for all child care workers throughout the U.S. You will learn the steps and actions for pediatric first aid emergencies; CPR procedures and signs of choking. Following a short skills test, students will receive a course completion card in Pediatric First Aid CPR/AED to meet job or regulatory requirements.

Learn Isshin-Ryu Karate, a traditional Okinawan Martial Art. This class teaches basic hand-foot techniques, forms (Kata), empty-hand sparring and self-defense techniques. The practice of martial arts will improve your physical conditioning, endurance, self-confidence, discipline and concentration at work or school.
