Associate degree in related discipline. Three (3) years of directly applicable experience (preferably in a college or university or public employer setting). Ability to meet frequent deadlines and good organizational skills.

Responsible for managing a timely system of invoice processing to include vendor identification, pay date assignment, invoice input, transaction edit and total verification by tapes.  Forwards invoices for Director of Business Services approval, posts transactions, files in sorter by fund, pays invoices on due date and files invoices, daily check registers and journals. Master’s degree in appropriate and related field.  State of Michigan licensure as a Professional Counselor (L.P.C.) desirable.  Demonstrated commitment to students with disabilities and to occupational students who are academically and socially disadvantaged and/or at risk.  Experience in managing projects and in managing people from diverse backgrounds. 

Provides overall management and specific direction to all activities of Learning Support Services including:

  • Oversees College Disability Services
  • Oversees College Tutoring Services
  • Oversees College Test Proctoring/Assessment Services
  • Manages Staff and Departmental Budgets

Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Student Personnel or equivalent preferred.  One (1) to three (3) years of related experience with prior residence hall operations and management experience preferred.    Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills. An understanding of and commitment to the mission of community colleges.

The Director of Campus Housing is responsible for leading and managing the student housing facility and providing a safe environment where students can develop, learn and succeed. Works with other College employees to administer a comprehensive plan of campus housing. Hires, develops and evaluates student staff in accordance with College objectives, goals and policies. This is a 12-month on-campus living position (with private apartment and meal plan) and insures 24/7 coverage of residence hall for fall and winter semesters.
