Full-time Driver and Instructional Aide: Mobile CNC Manufacturing Training Lab (This is a 5-year, grant-funded position with full benefits.)
Associate Dean - Business, Manufacturing & Technology

Required Qualifications:  Experiences and credentials appropriate to maintain and drive the Fab Lab – CDL Class A.   Familiarity with CNC equipment and/or manufacturing experience.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse cultural and ethnic background of staff and students.  Excellent written and oral communication skills; excellent interpersonal skills.  Familiarity with technology beyond CNC, initiative, integrity, knowledge of and commitment to the community college mission.

General Description: Available Immediately!  Drives the CNC Mobile Digital Fab Lab (Fab Lab) to various locations across northern Michigan based on the schedule developed by the Associate Dean - Business, Manufacturing & Technology.

Assists the Director of the Fab Lab in the set-up and packing of the trailer at each location.  Assists the Director of the Fab Lab in maintaining and troubleshooting all equipment and facilities related to the Fab Lab. Coordinates the deployment of the Fab Lab between credit-based and workforce development assignments, as well as coordinating demonstrations of the Fab Lab at area events.  This includes identification of the appropriate routes, parking, power, etc.  Conducts self in a professional manner promoting statesmanship with employees, faculty and other employees, students, local community members, and related representatives and visitors.
