NORTH CENTRAL RECEIVES $65,000 FOR CNC SCHOLARSHIPS
The North Central Michigan College Foundation was the proud recipient of a $65,000 contribution from the Garden Party Foundation and Great Lakes Wine and Spirits. The check amount is the net earnings of The Garden Party, held on the Petoskey campus on August 14. The event benefitted scholarships for North Central’s CNC (Computer Numerical Controls) Machining program.
The Garden Party event was initiated by the J. Lewis Cooper Family and Elizabeth and Sydney L. Ross Foundation (owners of Great Lakes Wine and Spirits) eight years ago to benefit trade and occupational programs at southeast Michigan community colleges. Now, in 2016, they added an event in Northern Michigan to benefit North Central.
