Textile Workshop: Silk-Screening Off the Grid

In addition to using a silk-screen as a giant stamp, you will learn some fun tricks using a standard screen and a thermofax screen (a great way to make a screen from any black-and-white artwork).  Learn to work with Procion MX dyes and fabric paints.  Class fee includes some materials.  Instructor Barbara Bushey has been teaching at the college level for 20 years. Altered States Jacket of Many Colors
$149 (includes supplies.)
Saturdays – March 8, 15 & 22, 10AM - 1PM  
Create with color and fiber.  Using batik or other unusual fabrics, alter a sweatshirt into a jacket that reflects your artistic self.  If you are not in touch with that side of yourself, this is a good place to start.  Some sewing skill required and a sweatshirt that is at least one size too large.   Instructor Diana Call is a fiber artist whose award-winning work has been exhibited in galleries throughout Michigan
