NCMC Foundation
The mission of the North Central Michigan College Foundation is to initiate philanthropy in partnership with North Central Michigan College and the community in order to provide financial support for the mission and goals of the college.

About the Foundation
During the past 10 years the NCMC Foundation has received gifts and earnings of $3.3 million to support programs, scholarships and capital projects. Contributions are received from individuals, businesses, organizations and other foundations. Funds are generated through an annual campaign, scholarship support, special events, capital campaigns, memorials and bequests. The Foundation Board of Directors is comprised of 12 community volunteers who provide the leadership and initiative for advancing the Foundation. These community leaders, along with the North Central Michigan College Board of Trustees, provide the Foundation with excellent resources for growth and development.
Every year more than 600 individuals and businesses contribute to the success of North Central by making a gift. Please consider joining our growing list of supporters. Your contribution will make a difference in the lives of our students.

(A credit is an amount by which your tax is actually reduced, rather than a deduction from the amount of income on which the tax is based.)
The law permitts all taxpayers in Michigan to reduce their Michigan income tax by 50% of the amount contributed to North Central, subject to maximum credit of :
- $100 for a person filing individually
(based on a minimum donation of $200)
- $200 for a married couple filing jointly
(based on a minimum donation of $400)
In addition to the Michigan Tax Credit, your contribution can be claimed asa deduction on your federal tax return if you itemize. Below are examples of the impact of both the Michigan Tax Credit and the federal deduction.
Here is how it would work for a single person:

| Michigan Tax Credit |
$100 |
| Federal income tax deduciton at 28% tax rate |
$70 |

Here's an example of how it would work for a married couple:

A percentage of those earnings are used to fund yearly scholarships and the fund generates income in perpetuity. The minimum level to establish an endowed scholarship is $10,000. Annual Scholarships Annual Scholarships are a commitment to provide yearly support to fund a scholarship. These awards can be ongoing or made as a one-time scholarship.
