DOCUMENTARY PRODUCER FEATURED AT NCMC’S LUNCHEON LECTURE

The executive producer of two award-winning documentaries on World War II will be the Luncheon Lecture speaker this Friday, March 9, at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey.

Michael Walenta, general manager of WGVU-TV in Grand Rapids, will talk about the programs produced by his public television station: “Surviving Auschwitz,” a profile of two young girls who were liberated from the death camp by the Soviet army, and “Defying Hitler,” the story of a member of the Polish underground. Mr. Walenta will show excerpts from the documentaries and talk about the making of these important historical accounts of the wartime era.
