Enrollment procedures for Dual Enrollment Students Dual enrollment students are juniors or seniors currently enrolled in high school who wish to enroll in college courses. Follow these steps: 1. Talk with your parents and high school counselor. Your parents and high school counselor will assist you in completing the necessary paper work to enroll in college and participate in dual enrollment. High school obligations, course selection and scheduling need to be discussed, as well as cost; you may be obligated to pay for tuition, fees and books. Dual enrollment students are not eligible for finanical aid. 2. Apply for Admission. Complete the free Application for Admission online. At the homepage, use the Online Application button to apply. You will be notified of your acceptance and student identification numbers by mail. 3. Submit ACT scores or take the COMPASS 4. Complete a Dual Enrollment Form, which requires the signature of your high school counselor and a parent or guardian. This forms authorizes which courses you may enroll in for every semester. Your high school counselor will mail the form to Student Services or you may bring it to the College's Admission Office. 5. Registration is completed by Student Services staff at North Central. You are notified by mail of your schedule. Please read all mail carefully. Some classes may not appear on your schedule because they were full or you did not qualify to take them. See your high school counselor immediately if this occurs. 6. You will be billed for any tuition and fees not covered by your high school after the add/drop period. Please pay immediately. Books are not typically covered by the high school and are purchased and paid for at the College Store. 7. On Line Services-- You may use the On-Line Services to access your class schedule, financial account and grades. You may also search to see what classes are full when contemplating course selection each semester. |
