Enrollment procedure for International Students Students from other countries must follow these steps: 1. Apply for Admission. The free North Central Micihgan College Application for Admission is available on-line at www.ncmich.edu. International students must apply no later than 10 weeks prior to the beginnning of the semester. 2. Show proof of academic ability: a) Submit transcripts of classes taken at all secondary schools and universities. b) College credit may be awarded for international university coursework if the applicant submits transcripts to a recognized credit evaluation agency. c) submit results of teh Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) . The TOEFL score must be at least 550 for paper version, 231 for the computer version. 3. Show proof of financial ability. Financial aid is not available for international students from North Central Michigan College or the U.S. federal or state governments. 4. Submit an international student deposit . 5. Submit a Medical History Form. 6. If all documentation has been submitted and meets stated standards, an I-20 is released to the student. The I-20 , the I901, the official North Central Mihcigan College acceptance letter and finanical support documents must be presented to an official of the U.S. embassy or consulate for consideration of requiest for an F-1 student visa. The visa will be issued no earlier than 30 days prior to the beginning of the college semester. The student may register for courses only after an F-1 visa has been granted. |
