What is the deadline to apply for Financial Aid?

The deadline to file the FAFSA is June 30th of each academic year. So for the academic year 2006-07 the deadline date would be June 30 of 2007. You may apply anytime after January 1 of the year you are planning to go to college. Applicants who have completed their files by May 1 and have established need, are given first consideration for available awards. Students may continue to apply after May 1 and are offered aid based upon remaining available funds. Remember that you most likely want financial aid to use toward registration costs so filing early-anytime after January 1 for the next summer, fall, winter sessions would allow for the most consideration of all aid resources.
