Student and Community Resource Center GYM
The Multi-purpose center features there regulation-size basketball courts, a 1/9th mile walking track and two fitness-oriented class rooms. The track is available to all at no charge, however there is a mandatory registration area.The courts are for student and community use.
Students: Students must present a current NCMC picture ID card for free use of the courts. Activities included in OPEN GYM time include basketball, volleyball, pickle ball, badminton, eclipse ball.
College-sponsored activities for all interested students include IM basketball and volleyball, dodge ball and more.
Community use: Community members of all ages are welcome to take advantage of open gym, or private rental of courts.
Open gym fees are:
0-6 years old – no fee
7-18 years old- $2/person/day
19 years and older- $3/person/day
Registration and sign-in is in the Fitness Office across from the College Store. Basketballs volleyballs, soccerballs, Pickle ball and badminton equipment is available for no charge.
Save time and money! Call the Fitness Office at 231-439-6370 for information on family and individual court activity passes.
Emmet County Sport team court rental is available. If you are an Emmet County coach, please call the Fitness Office for information, times and fees. Full and half court times are available.
Community Tennis is available by reservation only before 3pm each weekday, and various hours on weekends.

Tot-Time is open gym time for tots and toddlers with their parents or guardians. Please call the fitness office to learn more about Tot-Time!! Age appropriate fun toys and mats are available at no charge. Men’s and Women’s locker rooms are available on a daily basis for no charge. No overnight usage.
BRING A LOCK, AND ALWAYS LOCK UP!
All users under 18 years must have on file a liability release form signed by parent or guardian.
Absolutely NO children under age 10 on the courts OR track without immediate parent/guardian supervision.
Shoes must be clean and dry for use on the courts. Persons with wet shoes will not be allowed on the courts for safety reasons.
Several community shows and events take place in the Multi-purpose room, which requires it to be closed to the public. The NCMC staff makes a great effort to have information out in a timely manner.

SCRC SECOND FLOOR FITNESS ROOMS ARE AVAILABLE ONLY TO STUDENTS ENROLLED IN PE 116 or PE 216 – Physical Conditioning class. Please call Student Services or the Fitness Office for information on enrollment.
