CLEP ADMINISTRATION
- CLEP testing is offered Monday through Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., by appointment at (231) 348-6693.
- The tests are 90 minutes long; however, a 2 hour block of time is required to allow for the personal information that is requested prior to the actual test.
- NCMC charges a $15.00 administration fee that must be paid at the cashier’s office located in the
Classroom/Administrative building. Bring the blue receipt of payment from the cashier’s office with you to the appointment.
- A photo I.D is required.
- As of July 1, 2008 CLEP charges $70.00 at the time of the test, on-line with a credit card. CLEP accepts VISA, MASTERCARD, AMERICAN EXPRESS, or DISCOVER.
- If a credit card is not available you can pay with a Money Order made out to CLEP in the amount of $70.00 per test.
Checks Or Cash Are Not Accepted!
- The total cost for each exam is $85.00.
- A study guide is available from which individual sections can be copied at the expense of person testing. The copy machine costs 5 cents per sheet. Any additional questions can be answered at the CLEP site on-line at: www.collegeboard.com/clep
- A list of the exams and what they are accepted as at NCMCis attached to this page. To determine what other colleges accept, check online.
Additional Essays
- If you need an additional written essay please request that the proctor order the essay you will need. It must be ordered at least 6 business days prior to the appointment. The essays include: American Literature, Analyzing & Interpreting Literature, English Literature, and Freshman College Composition. Each essay costs an additional $10.00 Fee, Payable Only By Money Order, Made Out To CLEP.
