Disability Services
Special needs assistance, accommodations such as private testing area, audio books, alternative formats and assistive technology is available to any North Central student with a documented disability through Learning Support Services, Room 533 of the Student and Community Resource Center.
Services available include:
Special assistance is also is available to any student who has declared an intent or has formally enrolled in an occupational certificate or occupational degree program at North Central Michigan College and is qualified with one or more of the following: an individual with a hidden or obvious disability, academically disadvantaged (enrolled in developmental coursework), economically disadvantaged (receives Pell Grant), limited English proficiency, preparing for a non-traditional career or single parent (including single pregnant women), displaced homemaker, or individual with other barrier(s) to educational achievement.
Students who fit one of the above listed descriptions qualify for special services including financial aid, advocacy, career guidance, academic advising, personal counseling, tutoring, and special needs assistance.
