Enrollment procedure for International Students

Students from other countries should follow these steps:

1. Apply for Admission. Applications are available online. Use this link to complete and send your free application. International students must apply at least 10 weeks prior to the beginning of the semester.

2. Show proof of academic ability:
a) Submit transcripts of classes taken at all secondary schools and universities. Grade point average should be at least "B" level.
b) Submit results of the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL). Your TOEFL score must be at least 550.

3. Show proof of financial ability. Note: North Central Michigan College does not have financial aid available for students from other countries.

4. Submit a deposit to be used in case of emergencies.

5. Submit a Medical History Form.

6. After all the above documentation has been submitted, an I-20 will be granted by NCMC.

7. Register for courses as a full-time student after an F-1 Visa has been granted. You will be mailed information on how to enroll online.
