Personal Interest Students

Students who take courses for personal interest and do not plan to earn a degree, certificate or transfer should follow these steps:

Step One: Apply for admission.

Complete the free North Central Michigan College Application for Admission online.  Student services has computer terminals for student use.  Each student is mailed a letter of acceptance, a listing of next steps to complete and a student number.

Step Two: Register for classes.

The current schedule of classes and online registration functions are available at www.ncmich.edu.  Personal interest students are exempt from assessment unless an English or math course is selected or a prerequisite is required.
