Student Senate:
Purpose: The Student Senate is the student government organization at North Central Michigan College. The Senate is the means by which students may participate in institutional government by representation on Senate and college committees. Student Senate members assist in planning a variety of extra-curricular and co-curricular activities held throughout the year. Senators are elected each year. Senate meetings are held regularly during the year and are open to all who are interested. For more information, contact the Director of Student Activities and Campus Housing.

Residence Hall Council
Purpose:To improve the quality of dorm life living and to enrich the educational experience.
Membership Criteria: Must be a North Central Michigan College Residence Hall student.
Meetings: Every Tuesday night @ 6:00pm in the Southside Basement Study Room.

The Lime-Tree Society
Purpose:Offer an extracurricular opportunity for students to read and discuss classic and modern literature, and also to submit student creative writing projects for peer review and discussion.
Membership Criteria: For official membership and participation in all activities, we only require student status and attendance to at least four meetings per semester.
Meetings: Meetings will take place every Tuesday at 4pm in Room 131 in the AD/CL Building.

PTK Phi Theta Kappa
Purpose:To provide opportunities for individual growth and development through participation in honors, leadership, service and fellowship programming.North Central Michigan College chartered a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, the international honor society of the two-year college, in May 1989. The Alpha omicron Upsilon chapter is open to students who have completed at least 12 semester credit hours of coursework at North Central and who have attained a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or above.
Membership Criteria: 3.5 GPA for full membership, but anyone can join in.
Meetings: Every Wednesday @ 3:00pm in Common Grounds.

AEE - Anishnaabek Eknomunjik Ewaawyeyak
Purpose:Native Cultural activities and awareness.
Membership Criteria: Open to any and all North Central students.
Meetings: : Once or Twice a month – Next meeting is Tuesday, March 4, 2008 @ 5pm in Room 230 of the Technology Building.

North Central Michigan College – Role Playing Guild
Purpose:To promote the enjoyment and creativity of/for tabletop role playing games.
Membership Criteria:Must have a superior imagination, be 17 years of age or older, respect rules of the NCMC Residence Hall, respect other members, attend at least 2 meetings per month, attend regularly scheduled campaigns until the end, and pay dues every month.
Meetings: Main meeting Friday evenings @ 6:30pm in the Southside Basement (Study Room) of the Residence Hall. Other meetings and two campaign nights are discussed during that meeting.

The Informer
Purpose:This Newspaper, by the students for the students, endeavors to inform and to entertain the students of North Central Michigan College.
Membership Criteria: Any North Central student who will attend weekly meetings and submit (at least) two pieces for publication.

NCMC “Petoskey Stones” – Rugby Club
Purpose:To develop competitive men’s and women’s rugby teams; thus enhancing school spirit, community health and personal responsibility and self-confidence among members.
Membership Criteria: Must be a North Central Michigan College student.
Meetings: Twice per week on Wednesday’s @ 8:30pm – 10:30pm and Sunday’s from 5:00pm – 7:00pm. While the weather remains wintery, the meetings will take place in the SCRC Gym. When the weather changes and it is conducive to outside practice, the meetings will take place at Winter Sports Park Field.

IT Club
Purpose: Allowing students to share in the love for information and technology.
Membership Criteria: Any North Central student interested in IT.

North Central Fitness Club
Purpose: Provide encouragement and support for those looking to lose weight in a healthy and fun environment.
Membership Criteria: Must attend meetings/weigh ins
Meetings: Every other week starting the week of February 11th. Meetings are held on Monday Nights at 9pm in the Southside Basement (Study Room).

Art Club
Purpose: To add the arts to North Central, one brush stroke at a time.
Membership Criteria: Any North Central student, faculty, or staff interested in the arts.

Drama Club
Purpose:To gain a higher understanding of the theatrical arts through performing.
Membership Criteria: Must be a Student, Faculty or Staff Member of NCMC.

NCMC Blind Monkey Acting Association (NCMC BMAA)
Purpose: Production of feature length film. Proceeds from the film will go to Coats for Kids and the Charlevoix County Humane Society.
Membership Criteria: NCMC students willing to be a cast member, crew member, or lend creative talents to the movie production.
Meetings: Every Thursday night @ 5pm in the South Side Basement (Study Room) of the Residence Hall.

Purpose:To learn the game of Ping Pong and how to play it well.
