Student Veterans Resource Center (SVRC)
The Student Veterans Resource Center (SVRC) at North Central Michigan College opened in October 2011. Our mission is to assist students with obtaining their VA education benefits, be a liason between the student and the campus community when it is needed and to provide a network of fellow student veterans.
The SVRC will also assist you with applying to use your benifits through the VA, filling out your FASFA forms, registering for classes, determining which VA education benefit is right for you and working with the VA regarding payment issues.
We have also established a network with many VA representatives and other community organizations here in Northern Michigan in order to provide contacts to veterans who are experiencing difficulties with resolving non-education VA claims.
***Student Veterans are defined as: Former military veterans (all branches-regardless of combat or field deployment time), National Guard members, Reserve Component members, dependents, and spouses***
