In 2003, North Central Michigan College and six universities joined together to form a University Center partnership. This partnership with Central Michigan University, Ferris State University, Lake Superior State University, Lawrence Technological University, Michigan State University and Spring Arbor University affords significant benefits and opportunities to North Central students.
North Central students can complete the first two or, in some cases, three years of their coursework for a bachelor’s degree in certain areas through North Central. The remainder can be completed through the course offerings of the University Center partners. The majority of the classes required by University Center partners to complete degree programs are offered on North Central’s Petoskey campus. Students can save substantial amounts of money by paying North Central's low tuition rates for the majority of their bachelor's degree programs.
