Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree in professional athletic administration, physical education, exercise science or kinesiology preferred.  Three (3) years of progressive experience working in a collegiate athletic department.  Proven fundraising experience preferred.  Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.  Ability to communicate and develop rapport with departmental staff, students, faculty, alumni, administration and the general public.  Strong organizational and management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks. Proficient with Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Understanding of and commitment to the mission of community colleges.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience at a community college or medium-sized public library. Minimum of (1) year of supervisory experience. Customer-oriented, problem solver with strong listening skills and quality orientation.  Ability to manage, guide and mentor a diverse staff.  Computer proficiency, including basic hardware and software troubleshooting, familiarity with MS Office software products. Adept at learning new technology tools. Preference for experience with Integrated Library Systems (ILS) and MeLCat statewide sharing system, social media platforms, graphic software, web development software and other online instructional tools. Experience with a learning management system such as Blackboard, Brightspace, Moodle.

General Description:

Utilizing high-level thinking, this position is responsible for strategizing and coordinating all Foundation cultivation, stewardship, and fundraising events. The Operations & Events Coordinator assists the Executive Director with organizing Foundation activities and acts as the events and operations contact for the Foundation with a variety of stakeholders, including college faculty and staff, donors, volunteers and vendors.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in a solicitor role with demonstrated success in fund development and philanthropic goal achievement. Ability to listen, attract, cultivate, and retain meaningful relationships with prospective donors. Excellent written, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.  Advanced skills in MS Office required; knowledge of Raisers Edge®  or similar donor software desired. Ability to work independently, problem solve and prioritize work with a high level of discretion. Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, reliable transportation are required for travel.
