Mechatronics Instructor (full-time)
Salary/Wage Range:
Salary is $80,000 commensurate with experience and according to the Nitaazhitoojik Industrial Training Grant guidelines. Excellent health and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
BA or BS with concentration or minor in field & 4 years of field work experience; (Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or accredited Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree related to Machine Diagnostics and Repair with required field work experience will be considered)  OR an AA, AS, or AAS in teaching field & 8 years field work experience; OR A valid State of Michigan Teaching Credential; AND The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Automated Systems, Electro-mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology, or related field; Experience in System level trouble shooting on an automated cell that includes PLCs, SMC Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical Controls, and Motors; Previous teaching or training experience, preferably at the community college level.

General Description:

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to teaching in the Mechatronics program at North Central Michigan College, teaching on campus classes, in addition to teaching dual enrolled students at their local high school using individual Mechatronics trainers in a class to instruct as many as twelve students at a time.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in marketing, communications or related field. Knowledge of graphic design, project management. Solid knowledge of social media platforms. Prior experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop. Excellent communication skills. Detail oriented.

Preferred Qualifications:  Skill with WordPress or similar Content Management Systems.

General Description:

The Marketing Coordinator assists with the daily internal/external initiatives for marketing, supports the marketing needs of internal departments and manages reputation-building CCD events. Supports re-design and development of video production, photos, logos, infographics, visual content and marketing assets. Responsible for daily website management and social network postings.

General Description:

The Outreach Recruiter will assist the Director of Student Outreach and Engagement in a variety of activities focused on the college’s student recruitment efforts and engagement of students, both new and returning, in the North Central experience.   Responsible for carrying out the goals of the College’s strategic plan and the department’s outreach plan. Efforts include but are not limited to using all available recruitment methods:  face to face, campus and community events, and web-based interaction (email, social media and website).  Evenings may be required as well as travel throughout the state of Michigan.

Assists with CCE including: financial, secretarial, data management, grant reporting and organizational support. Supports goals of CCE and the college in business and community outreach related to training and non-credit educational programs.
