Tech. & Innovation Fund
Technology for Teaching and Learning ($1 million)
A STEM-educated workforce will attract, retain, and grow businesses in our region, creating a diverse and resilient local economy. While our communities can – and do – attract the best and brightest from around the world, we must commit to growing and developing our own local STEM talent to prepare students for the high-skill, high-paying jobs of today and tomorrow in areas like health care, IT and manufacturing.
The college has engaged community and business leaders in shaping our programs to best respond to current and future workforce needs – from both the local level and global perspective.
Our Building Tomorrow Together campaign will:
- Outfit adaptable classrooms with new technology for teaching and learning – both in and out of the classroom.
- Expand STEM education and infuse entrepreneurism across the curriculum while maintaining a solid core of general education programs and fund important occupational programs like nursing, EMS, CNC, and mechatronics.
- Establish a fund for professional development, equipment, and technology upgrades that will drive innovative teaching and learning methods, better serve our students, and respond to occasional disruptions and continuous technological change.
"North Central Michigan College continues to develop curriculum that is valuable for the students and the employers in the area."
