LUNCHEON LECTURES LOOKS AT SLEIGHT OF HAND AND THE ART OF ILLUSION
North Central Michigan College’s Luncheon Lecture series will take a look at sleight of hand in a lecture entitled “The Art of Illusion,” on Friday, March 22. The program will be held in the Library Conference Center on the Petoskey campus. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.
“The hand is quicker than the eye.” “Seeing is believing.” “I saw it with my own two eyes.” “We have an eyewitness.” These sayings will be tested as you are presented with simple illusions that will entertain you, challenge your awareness and give insight into how your eyes, mind and thought processes work. The presenter will be Mike Shore, retired vice president and chief risk officer of Consumers Energy, Jackson, Michigan.
