NORTH CENTRAL CELEBRATES #1 DESIGNATION BY BESTCOLLEGES.COM

North Central Michigan College is delighted to announce that it has been listed as the #1 Community College in Michigan by BestColleges.com.  The College is joined in the top five by Henry Ford, Muskegon, Delta and Saginaw Chippewa Tribal College.

BestColleges.com provides students with direct connections to schools and programs suiting their educational goals through their program rankings.  These rankings are intended to inform and guide prospective students toward institutions that provide a quality education and a meaningful learning experience at an affordable cost. Key measures incorporated in the algorithm include acceptance, retention, graduation and enrollment rates. Also included are each school’s student loan default percentages.

October also marks College Month in Michigan, part of a national initiative aimed at providing every graduating high school senior the opportunity to apply to college and for financial aid.  Special focus is placed on assisting students who would be the first in their families to attend college, as well as students who may not have otherwise seriously considered applying to college.
