College-going Behavior

 

 

 

 

Many of our area high school graduates go onto college, with a sizable portion of them attending North Central. 

 

 

The graph below summarizes college-going behavior of 2015 area high school graduates.

 

  • Of the college-bound students in our area, 32% chose to attend North Central.

  • Approximately 65% of Petoskey High School graduates attended college in Fall 2015, with 22% attending North Central.

  • Overall, 70% of CharEm area graduates attended college in Fall 2015, with 23% attending North Central.

    • The percentage values for the CharEm area are based on lists of juniors provided by ACT and may not be complete, as not all students elect to release their names.

    • The percentages for Petoskey High School are based on a list of actual June 2015 graduates, which is complete.

    • All college-going percentages are based on information from the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • Considering the entire area north of Traverse City, including the Eastern Upper Peninsula, we see that 2015 high school graduates attended more than 100 different public and private colleges in 26 different states.  The most popular choices include mostly Michigan public colleges and universities, and are shown below in descending order of choice.
