Position: 

Lead Biology Tutor (12-15 hours/week)

Salary/Wage Range:

$15.00/hr

Report to:

Director of Learning Support Services

Date Available: 

January 26, 2015

Responsibilities:

Responsible for providing majority of tutorial services for biology areas, primarily Anatomy and Physiology; maintaining accurate records and tracking student use, and working with Tutorial Coordinator in developing materials and training student tutors.

Required Qualifications: 

Bachelor degree in applicable field, tutorial and/or teaching experience, demonstrated communication skills in working with diverse populations, knowledge of and commitment to the community college philosophy and mission, knowledge of needs of academically at-risk students and the ability to use technology to communicate with students.

Desired Qualifications:   

Previous experience in tutoring in the biological sciences at the college level.
