Global Studies Programs at North Central Michigan College

Global Studies incorporates elements from various disciplines such as political science, economics, sociology, anthropology, history, and geography. This multidisciplinary approach allows students to gain a holistic perspective on global issues.

North Central's program prepares students as civically engaged, culturally aware, and environmentally conscious citizens who understand and can respond to the complex, interconnected world issues of the 21st century.

Global Studies — Associate of Arts Concentration:
MTA APPROVED

Gain a solid understanding of global issues, international relations, and cultural diversity. This foundational knowledge is essential for students seeking a well-rounded education with a global perspective. Graduates are prepared to transfer to bachelor’s degree programs in global or international studies, political science, pre-law, economics, business, or related fields.

This program meets Michigan Transfer Agreement (MTA) requirements, which guarantees your North Central credits will transfer seamlessly to participating partner universities statewide.
