Practical Nurse Pinning Ceremony

North Central Michigan College proudly celebrated the Practical Nursing Class of 2025 during the pinning ceremony heldDecember 11, 2025, in the NCMC Athletic Center gymnasium. Surrounded by family, friends, faculty, and clinical partners, 15 graduates were recognized for completing North Central’s Practical Nursing program and stepping forward as licensed practical nurses serving Northern Michigan.

The evening included the presentation of nursing pins and stoles, the lighting of candles, a recitation of the nursing pledge, and remarks from college leadership and community partners. It was a meaningful milestone for graduates and a proud moment for everyone who supported their journey.

A Tradition of Excellence

The LPN Pinning Ceremony is a cherished tradition that marks the transition from nursing student to nursing professional. This meaningful event honors the dedication, resilience, and compassion demonstrated by our Practical Nursing students throughout their program.

Family members, friends, faculty, and community supporters are invited to join us as we recognize our graduates. Each pin and stole they receive represents the knowledge, compassion, and resilience gained throughout the program. Graduates will also partake in the lighting ceremony and nursing pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the nursing profession.

The ceremony symbolizes the beginning of a career devoted to caring for others and reflects North Central’s commitment to preparing highly skilled, compassionate nurses for our region.


About the Practical Nursing Program

North Central’s Practical Nursing program prepares students for careers as licensed practical nurses through a combination of classroom instruction, laboratory experience, and supervised clinical practice in a variety of healthcare settings. Graduates are eligible to sit for the NCLEX-PN exam.
