Unfortunately, COVID-19 infection rates have not dropped in Emmet County during the month of September.  Thus, North Central Michigan College will maintain an indoor mask requirement through Friday, October 29, 2021, out of an abundance of caution.

For the next month, North Central will continue to require facial coverings in all indoor settings regardless of individuals’ vaccination status, with the exception of team members working in private offices.  Exemptions will be made for individuals granted accommodations through Human Resources.

Again, facial coverings will be required indoors, with the exceptions noted above, until October 29, 2021.  During these next few weeks, we will assess the impact of our mask requirement, our local COVID-19 transmission rate, and our local vaccination rate.

Updated signage has been posted at building entry points to inform visitors and our campus community of the indoor mask requirement.  There will be masks available at key building entrances for individuals who do not have a mask on their person, and they will be instructed to wear them.  Thank you for your adherence to this latest masking requirement.
