North Central Michigan College has received a gift of a human anatomage table for use by students in the College’s allied health and nursing programs. This digital cadaver lab contains the gross anatomy of three full cadavers plus an excess of 1,400 case files with specific MRIs and cross-sections of the human anatomy.  The table was made possible by a generous gift from The Borra Family Foundation.

This cadaver lab will provide our students with a deeper understanding of complex concepts in anatomy and physiology, necessary for such careers as nursing, emergency medical services, certified nurse aid, medical assistant and surgical technologist. The anatomage table also includes an expanded digital library which will provide an excellent teaching tool for instructors across multiple college programs.

“The anatomage table is yet another example of the exceptional educational resources available at North Central Michigan College,” states Dr. David Roland Finley, president of North Central.  “With such equipment, we strive to improve the quality of life for our students and the communities we serve.”
