NORTH CENTRAL TO SUSPEND CLASSES BEGINNING MARCH 16

Decision to suspend classes is part of the college’s ongoing effort to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19)

North Central Michigan College announced that all classes, including online classes, labs and clinicals, at all campus locations (Petoskey, Gaylord and Cheboygan) are canceled beginning March 16 through April 5.  North Central’s campus, including the Student and Community Resource Center, the Residence Hall and the Library, will be closed to non-college personnel during the same timeframe.  External visitors to campus will be limited to authorized individuals who have been preapproved for entry.

A decision about whether to resume classes on April 6 will be made by April 3 and communicated to all affected individuals.

“The safety of our campus community is our highest priority,” said Dr. David Roland Finley, North Central’s president.  “These actions are part of our ongoing effort to respond proactively to mitigate the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19).”

The Campus Cupboard, the college’s food pantry for current North Central students, will remain open as a resource for students who might be experiencing food insecurity, however order pickup will be by appointment only.
