Paramedic Programs at North Central Michigan College
Emergency Medical Services/Paramedic — Associate of Applied Science:
Graduates of North Central's EMS/Paramedic program are prepared to sit for the National Registry Exam, which opens employment opportunities in many other states in the pre-hospital field of EMS, public safety, and fire rescue. Graduates may also work in the emergency departments of hospitals and clinics, or as safety coordinators for industrial plants.
The five-semester, cohort-style program will accept 16 students per cohort, with one cohort starting each Winter semester. The program runs full time and includes four semesters of paramedic coursework, with a Paramedic Field Internship during the final semester.

Paramedic Program Requirements:
Prospective students must first complete North Central's general admission application before applying to the Paramedic program. Once you have completed the application and been accepted for general admission to the college, please complete the Pramedic Program Application.
Paramedic Program Application
Applications for the Paramedic program must be submitted by January 7th of the year of the anticipated Winter semester entry. There is no waitlist for the Paramedic program. Applicants who are not admitted to the program must re-apply.
North Central students* can apply to the Paramedic program from the NC Portal:

- Select the Health Science application.
