North Central Michigan College will hold a press conference on Thursday, November 18, at 11:30 a.m. to announce the addition of six varsity athletic teams set to begin competition in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) during academic year 2022-2023.  The press conference will be held in the Student and Community Resource Center gymnasium on the Petoskey campus.  Members of the media and all college stakeholders are invited to attend.

North Central Athletic Director Ashley Antonishen will discuss the college’s recent approval to join the NJCAA, the national sports association for two-year colleges.  Antonishen, who is actively recruiting student-athletes in volleyball, esports, men’s and women’s basketball, and men’s and women’s cross country, will also announce the coaches for each sport and share information about recruiting opportunities.  A question-and-answer session will follow the presentation.  Lunch will be provided.
