NCMC Athletics will host a free family event to kick off the college’s 2023—2024 athletic season. North Central will hold its inaugural Timberwolves Athletic Rally on Saturday, September 23, from 11:30 a.m.—1 p.m. outside the Student and Community Resource Center.

The event will feature music by Tim’s DJ Service, cookout fare, two bounce houses, face painting, yard games, raffle prizes, and a meet-and-greet with Timberwolf student-athletes. The first 50 attendees will also receive free entry into the Timberwolves’ 1 p.m. volleyball game vs. Delta College. Activities will be moved inside the SCRC in the event of rain.

“Our community has wholeheartedly embraced NCMC Athletics, and the inaugural Timberwolves Athletic Rally is a great opportunity to show our appreciation for their support,” said Athletic Director Ashley Antonishen.

More than 60 student-athletes are set to compete for the Timberwolves this year in men’s and women’s cross country, women’s volleyball, men’s and women’s basketball, and esports. The 2023-24 season is the Timberwolves’ second season in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) and the Michigan Community College Athletic Association (MCCAA).
