PETOSKEY—North Central Michigan College and NCMC Athletics have partnered with PrestoSports to unveil a new, dedicated athletics website: www.ncmctimberwolves.com. Creation of the website is a testament to the college’s commitment to provide the North Central community with informative, dynamic content about its hometown team.

Launched on June 22, the new website is optimized for mobile devices, accessibility, and overall user experience. The site features visually appealing images and real-time information that allows fans to follow their favorite players and teams.  It also serves multiple functions related to recruiting and reporting, according to NCMC Athletic Director Ashley Antonishen.

“We are excited to showcase Timberwolf Athletics with a website that provides relevant content for all of our stakeholders, including current and prospective student-athletes, their parents, fellow members of our athletic conferences, and of course, community members and fans,” Antonishen said.

News, rosters and schedules for each of the college’s six varsity teams will be released on the website throughout the summer, building toward the kickoff of the college’s inaugural varsity volleyball season in August.

Antonishen and Sports Information Director Samantha Ofstad worked with a team at PrestoSports to produce the website, which Ofstad will maintain in addition to her responsibilities as head women’s basketball coach.

“The website will be our primary vehicle for producing and maintaining game reports and statistics that must be reported weekly to our conference, regional and national offices,” Ofstad said. “It will also allow us to highlight our student-athletes’ successes, giving them the opportunity to be recruited by four-year schools for their junior and senior seasons.”

After launching its club sports program in 2019, North Central was granted membership in the Michigan Community College Athletic Association in December 2021 and became a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association’s Region 12, Division II in October 2021.
