Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED.  Sound conflict resolution skills; Trained in CPR, AED, First Aid, and Blood borne Pathogens. (Training may be provided upon hire.) Basic computer skills and telephone etiquette. Self-starter, self-motivated and proactive. Ability to manage and lead. Able to lift 10 lbs. or more regularly and up to 50 lbs. or more on occasion. Decisive and solutions orientated.  Able to work in fast-paced environments.  Flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team is a must.

General Description:

The Shift Leader acts as quality control and is responsible for on-site supervision of the fitness facilities, its patrons, and students; as well as, overseeing the appropriate use and cleanliness of all equipment. S/he will maintain a welcoming, inclusive, safe, enjoyable, service-oriented environment for Student Community Resource Center participants at all times. 28 hours per week; primary work schedule will be mostly evenings and varied depending on operational needs and candidate availability, including the ability to work some weekends and holidays.  Please note that work schedules are subject to change from semester to semester based on the needs and operational hours of the department, so flexibility and willingness to work as part of a team is a must.

  4. Possesses skills necessary to apply relevant technology (comfortable developing and working with database information).

Salary/Wage Range:
Salary is $80,000 commensurate with experience and according to the Nitaazhitoojik Industrial Training Grant guidelines. Excellent health and retirement benefits.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
BA or BS with concentration or minor in field & 4 years of field work experience; (Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or accredited Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree related to Machine Diagnostics and Repair with required field work experience will be considered)  OR an AA, AS, or AAS in teaching field & 8 years field work experience; OR A valid State of Michigan Teaching Credential; AND The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Automated Systems, Electro-mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology, or related field; Experience in System level trouble shooting on an automated cell that includes PLCs, SMC Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical Controls, and Motors; Previous teaching or training experience, preferably at the community college level.

General Description:

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to teaching in the Mechatronics program at North Central Michigan College, teaching on campus classes, in addition to teaching dual enrolled students at their local high school using individual Mechatronics trainers in a class to instruct as many as twelve students at a time.
