Minimum Qualifications:
  1. Master’s degree in appropriate and related field.  State of Michigan licensure as a Professional Counselor (L.P.C.) desirable.
  2. Demonstrated commitment to students with disabilities and to occupational students who are academically and socially disadvantaged and/or at risk.
  3. Experience in managing projects and in managing people from diverse backgrounds.
  4. Possesses skills necessary to apply relevant technology (comfortable developing and working with database information).

Degree in Information Technology or related field; OR equivalent combination of education and experience in Information Technology. Five (5) years of experience directly managing information technology functions with responsibility for managing staff.

General Description:

Responsible for leading short- and long-term planning and support of technology; delivery of services in administrative systems, network systems, and classroom technology support. Provides IT vision, initiative, technical assistance, efficiency in operation; developing and implementing best practices, management and safeguarding technology functions. Expertise in IT industry standards and emerging technologies.  The Director is responsible for the management of IT staff as well as able to provide hands on technical assistance.

Minimum Qualifications:

Required Qualifications:
BA or BS with concentration or minor in field & 4 years of field work experience; (Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or accredited Bachelor’s/Associate’s degree related to Machine Diagnostics and Repair with required field work experience will be considered)  OR an AA, AS, or AAS in teaching field & 8 years field work experience; OR A valid State of Michigan Teaching Credential; AND The equivalent education and/or experience (requires an equivalency).

Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Automated Systems, Electro-mechanical Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, Robotics Technology, or related field; Experience in System level trouble shooting on an automated cell that includes PLCs, SMC Pneumatics, Hydraulics, Electrical Controls, and Motors; Previous teaching or training experience, preferably at the community college level.

General Description:

Responsibilities include but aren't limited to teaching in the Mechatronics program at North Central Michigan College, teaching on campus classes, in addition to teaching dual enrolled students at their local high school using individual Mechatronics trainers in a class to instruct as many as twelve students at a time.
