North Central Michigan College’s November 22 Luncheon Lecture will examine the likelihood of—and challenges to—urban sustainability in India.  The lecture will be held in the Library Conference Center on the Petoskey campus. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.

Kerri Finlayson, North Central professor of anthropology and sociology, recently joined community college faculty from around the U.S. to explore the problems of urban sustainability in India’s overcrowded cities.  She will take lecture attendees on a tour of the north (Jaipur) and south (Mysore and Bangalore) to discuss the biggest sustainability issues and the steps being taken to address them.

Reservations are required.  Call 231-348-6600 or email to reserve your place at the table.  Cost is $12 (cash or check only – at door) and includes lunch.
