College-Going Behavior





Many of our area high school graduates go onto college, with a sizable portion of them attending North Central. 



2016 graduates

The graph below summarizes college-going behavior of 2016 area high school graduates.

  • Of the college-bound students in our area, 25% chose to attend North Central.

  • Approximately 66% of Petoskey High School graduates attended college in Fall 2016, with 37% attending North Central.

  • Overall, 73% of CharEm area graduates attended college in Fall 2016, with 25% attending North Central.

    • The percentage values for the CharEm area are based on lists of juniors provided by ACT and may not be complete, as not all students elect to release their information.

    • The percentages for Petoskey High School are based on a list of actual June 2016 graduates, which is complete.

    • All college-going percentages are based on information from the National Student Clearinghouse.

  • Considering the entire area north of Traverse City, including the Eastern Upper Peninsula, we see that 2016 high school graduates attended approximately 85 different public and private colleges in 20 different states.
