North Central has two off-campus locations: Cheboygan and Gaylord.

Students can take courses at any North Central location. All students have these services available to them at no charge at each location:

  • Personal assistance with registration
  • Academic advising to select the right courses and establish a comprehensive degree plan
  • Tutoring for any class
  • Financial aid applications
  • Textbook ordering
  • English and math placement testing for students 
  • Connection to online library, Internet and Microsoft Office XP applications in the College’s computer lab facilities in all locations.

North Central Michigan College offers the Associate of Arts and Associate of Applied Science Business Management at our Cheboygan location.  Various classes in criminal justice, computers and pre-nursing are also on the course schedule.  Credits earned will transfer to most four-year institutions.

The Straits Area Education Center contains seven classrooms, including a science lab, computer lab and a student lounge. All classrooms have the ability to utilize Apple TV for quality instruction. Courses are offered during the day and evening. Also students have printing capabilities in the Learning Cove student lounge.

The Straits Area Education Center is located at 504 Division Street in Cheboygan.

Gaylord

North Central Michigan College offers the Associate of Arts and the certificate of Medical Billing and Coding at our Gaylord location.  Various classes in criminal justice, computers, and pre-nursing are also on the course schedule.  Credits earned will transfer to most four-year institutions.

This center contains five classrooms, including a science lab, and a student lounge. All classrooms are collaborative learning spaces with state-of-the-art technology as the result of a partnership with the Gaylord Community Schools (GCS) and North Central Michigan College, which took place earlier in 2017.

Classes are offered during the day and evening with laptops available for onsite check-out in addition to printing capabilities in the Wojtas student lounge.

The Gaylord Center is located at 620 E. 5th Street in Gaylord.  (Follow M-32E into Gaylord. Turn right at South Maple Avenue. South Maple turns slightly left and becomes E. 5th Street. Gaylord Center will be on your right)
